SRX12218696: Whole genome sequences of bacterial strain from tomato
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 2500) run: 577,965 spots, 273.3M bases, 92.6Mb downloads

Design: Genomic DNA libraries were prepared using Nextera XT Library Prep Kit (Illumina, San Diego, USA) following the manufacturers protocol with the following modifications: two nanograms of DNA instead of one were used as input, and PCR elongation time was increased to 1 min from 30 seconds.

Study: Whole genome sequencing of biocontrol bacteria
show Abstracthide Abstract
The goal of the project is to uncover genome sequences of bacteria that show biocontrol activity of plant pathogens. Bacteria were isolated from several plant species including Medicago truncatula, Solanum lycopersicum (tomato) and Solanum tuberosum (potato). Isolated bacteria fall into two different groups: Bacillus and Xanthomonas. We intend to do comparative genomics to find out differences and similarities in genomes of these bacteria.
